I know I´m not updating as much as I´d like but I´ve been extremely busy… Hopefully soon I´ll be able to show all the new work I´ve been doing lately. In the meantime, here are a couple of t-shirt designs I did last year for DOBODOB, who, after redesigning their website, are back in business. Now they are having a big clearance sale of last year´s stock. Hurry up, Stanley Rubik´s design is already sold out for boys…
Ya sé que no estoy actualizando tanto como me gustaría pero he estado muy ocupado… Pronto espero poder enseñar lo que he estado haciendo recientemente. Mientras, aquí tenéis un par de diseños para camiseta que hice el año pasado para DOBODOB, quien, después de rediseñar su sitio, vuelven a la carga con una liquidación de existencias. Proposal not approved for the International Day of Women to be held on the 8th of March. In this case, politics and illustration got strangely mixed together, and after simplifing the image through up to 6 different versions in case “it could offend anybody”, the client (Madrid City Council) eventually decided to go just for typography, no images.
Propuesta no aprobada para el Día Internacional de la Mujer, a celebrar el día 8 de marzo. En esta ocasión la política y la ilustración se vieron extrañamente mezcladas y, tras simplificar la idea a través de hasta 6 versiones diferentes en caso de que “pudiera ofender a alguien”, el cliente (Ayuntamiento de Madrid) decidió finalmente usar sólo tipografía, sin imágenes.

Out of the picture, that´s how I´ve been feeling this last month,  socially isolated because of work… much like the girl in the picture. Not even a change of clothes managed to save her from exclusion. Soon I´ll be able to show the result of so much effort, a job for Zara, the Spanish fashion brand.
Fuera de plano, así me he sentido este último mes, socialmente aislado por el trabajo… como la chica de la ilustración. Ni siquiera un cambio de ropa consiguió salvarla de la exclusión. Pronto podré enseñar el resultado de tanto esfuerzo, un encargo para Zara.

These two illustrations have just got me a nice (and exhausting) job for a well known fashion brand. I´ll soon unravel the details.
Gracias a estas dos ilustraciones he conseguido hace poco un bonito (y agotador) trabajo para una conocida marca de moda. Pronto desvelaré los detalles.

In despite of the title, the only poetic references in this post will be the ones you want to find. So you are welcome to let go. I first created the image not knowing where it would lead me and a title naturally followed.
A pesar del título, las únicas referencias poéticas en este post serán las que querráis encontrar. Así que sois bienvenidos a dejaros llevar. Primero creé la imagen sin saber a dónde me llevaría y luego el título surgió espontáneamente.

I´m working on some sort of representative image for a client, a stylist. Something halfway through an illustration and a logo. Something simple but powerful at the same time. Getting close, I hope.
Estoy trabajando es una especie de imagen representativa para una cliente, estilista. Algo a medio camino entre una ilustración y un logo. Algo sencillo pero con fuerza a la vez. Me estoy acercando, espero.
